We are so proud to release our latest Weekly Webinar Series featuring @su2she, owner of @shinethesalon!
Susanne Post was named a finalist in the 2020 @honashville Strobel Volunteer Awards and has worked tirelessly to ensure stylists and those in the cosmetology industry are trained in Domestic Violence 101. In 2018, she partnered with the @ywcanashville to create the initiative Shear Haven, which educates stylists about the signs of Domestic Violence, how to respond and refer client/victims to life-saving resources, such as the YWCA’s 24-hour Crisis & Support Helpline (800-334-4628) and Text Line (615-983-5170).

Thank you Susanne for the education being offered to Cosmetologists regarding Domestic Violence. As the retired Compliance Manager for the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology, during my tenure we educated salon staff with our program called Cut it Out. This program educated stylists behind the chair what to look for and information on the Domestic Violence Hotline. I look forward to taking the Online Class in the fall. Thank you, Joanne Ayotte

Hi Sandy, thank you for watching. The training will be available this fall on barbicide.com!
What a great movement to start in the beauty industry. I am a barbershop and salon in Texas. I recently had a mural painted outside of our building to support domestic violence awareness and to empower women in our area who are going through domestic violence. After the first day I had so many women reach out to me wanting to speak out about their stories. I believe it is important to educate our barbers and stylist as well as our community about resources available. looking forward to the training video. If you would like to see the mural you can visit our facebook page, @ A Cut Above Barbershop and Salon in Weslaco, TX
This is a great idea because women and men need awareness to survive in any area of life. As a stylist we really need the training to give support and guidance in all areas please keep me posted on any ideas that our industry need.
very good program
Domestic Violence, is a very sensitive subject. I feel this training is excellent for the cosmetology industry. We all in the business know how our clients share personal information with us every time they come in for a service. Prior to this video I was unaware of the terminology and it’s ties to domestic violence.
